Audacity

Audacity is a free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. You can use Audacity to: Record live audio. Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs. Edit Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and WAV sound files. Cut, copy, splice, and mix sounds together. Change the speed or pitch of a recording. And more!

Da Metronome

DA Metronome is a compact basic metronome program. It allows you to select between the built-in sound, the PC speaker, or your own WAV file. Additionally, it features a drop-down menu to let you select the priority of the program (for better timing accuracy).

Guitar Chords 1.2

Guitar Chords generates more than 3,000 guitar chords and displays them on the graphical guitar fingerboard. Guitar Chords uses standard guitar tuning. All of the chords are available in alternative finger positions.

AKoff Guitar Assistant

AKoff Guitar Assistant is designed to assist in visual tuning a guitar with microphone or an electrical guitar connected to PC’s sound card. It analyzes in real time a stream of audio signals from Wave input of your sound card and calculates the main frequency. This frequency is shown by a pointer on graphic guitar signature stamp (frets), comparing it to the proper frequency. Tuning a string now simply means centering the pointer on the appropriate graphic fret.

AKoff Composer

This software is designed for recognition of polyphonic music from audio source and its conversion to MIDI score. Now one can compose music without MIDI keyboard and even without knowledge of notes or how to play musical instruments. It is as easy as humming a tune into a microphone and Composer will do the rest. Composer will take into consideration individual performance style tracking note dynamics and pitch bends.

Power Tab

Power Tab is a full-featured guitar tablature-authoring tool. The program's user-friendly interface will have you composing in no time. Power Tab contains a large number of tab symbols, including bends, hammer-ons, pull-offs, tremolo picking, tremolo bar dips, legato and shift slides, rhythm slashes, and most of the common music symbols used in tab (coda, al coda, and so on). Use this program for guitar or bass tabs.
